Friday, Oct. 21st..........Wow !!!  The first 9 weeks ends today.  Report cards will be coming home on Monday, October 31st.  It's hard to believe that one-fourth of our school year is over already.  I know that I am having a super year - the kids are generally very well-behaved and I think we have gotten into the routine of doing homework.  For the next 5 weeks, I am lucky enough to be a hosting a student teacher, Ms. Nikki Smith, from Sam Houston State University.  The kids love her and she will be taking over several of my classroom duties in order to learn what to do when she has her first classroom.  If you get a chance, come by and meet her.  We have started working on our TAKS reading and I have been teaching strategies to help your child do well on the test in February.  I will be sending home a sheet with these strategies listed so that you will be able to help your child at home.  Thanks so much for your support at home.
