I describe my job as the "BEST JOB IN THE WORLD"!  I have the honor of empowering students to strive and thrive to be their best, and hugging precious little ones daily is an added bonus!  I believe that all students can learn and succeed with the right support and direction. I am also available as a resource to teachers and parents in working together as a team in helping students be successful.. A counselor can help you when you are mad. A counselor can help you when you  are sad. A counselor will let you sit with her for awhile. A counselor will help you find your smile. A counselor will help you deal with a pest. A counselor will help you be your best! A counselor will help your heart to mend. A counselor will always be your friend! *********************** I see students as needed on an individual basis as requested by parents or teachers.  When appropriate, I assist families in seeking out community resources such as family counseling, during a crisis.  I also visit classrooms on a regular basis to teach social skills and to encourage all  students to be their very best. *********************** ***********************  This year I have implemented our  BULLDOG PRIDE PROGRAM.  I will be presenting  BULLDOG PRIDE awards during assembly on Tuesday mornings to those special students  who are nominated by their teachers.  Teachers will be turning in Bulldog Pride nominations throughout the year for those students who exhibit excellence in citizenship and social skill development.  At NSE, we strive to be our best every day in showing kindness, cooperation,  fairness,  responsibilty and respect for others.  We also will be singing our new "Bulldog Pride" song every Tuesday in assembly to inspire our Nichols Sawmill Students to be their very best. Bulldog Pride Song There's something in my heart every day.  It shows me what is wrong and what is right.  It's with me when I work, and when I play.  It's even with me when I sleep at night.  It's called my Bulldog Pride, It's called my Bulldog Pride!
